1. Core advantages: mobility & flexibility
“On-call” crane: The bottom is equipped with heavy-duty industrial casters (usually with brakes), which can be easily pushed to the required position manually on the workshop floor.
One machine for multiple uses: One device can serve multiple adjacent workstations, significantly improving equipment utilization and saving investment costs.
Adapt to dynamic layout: It can respond quickly when production line adjustments, equipment moves or temporary lifting tasks occur, without the need to reinstall fixed equipment.
Avoid obstacles: It can be flexibly moved to the best lifting position to avoid ground equipment or obstacles.
2. Lightweight and compact structure (optimized for mobility):
The overall design reduces the deadweight as much as possible and facilitates movement while ensuring a load capacity of 125kg. The columns are usually made of medium-sized steel pipes, and the cantilever is made of light I-beams or closed rails.
The compact structure ensures that it takes up little space during movement and operation, and the turning radius is relatively flexible.
3. Stable mobile base and caster system:
Heavy-duty base: Provides a stable support platform, usually a steel plate welded structure, with counterweights placed inside or outside (critical!).
Industrial universal casters: All casters are universal wheels or adopt a "two fixed and two thousand" configuration (to ensure flexible steering).
Caster requirements:
High load: The load capacity of a single caster must meet the safety requirements of the total weight (equipment weight + 125kg load + counterweight) and have sufficient margin.
With brakes: All casters must be equipped with reliable one-way or two-way brakes (locking wheel rotation and/or steering). During lifting operations, all brakes must be firmly locked, which is the key to safety!
Material: Nylon wheel (economical), polyurethane wheel (wear-resistant and silent) or rubber wheel (protecting the ground), choose according to the ground conditions.
Bearing: High-quality ball or needle bearings to ensure smooth pushing.
4. Counterweight is crucial:
The mobile design results in a relatively high center of gravity. To prevent tipping when lifting a 125kg load, sufficient counterweight blocks must be configured.
The counterweight is usually placed in the base frame or fixed to the base.
The counterweight calculation must ensure that the equipment meets the safety and stability requirements (usually the safety factor is ≥1.5) when lifting 125kg at the maximum working radius. It is absolutely forbidden to use it without installing or equipping it with sufficient counterweight!
