1. Core design: cable-stayed structure
Key features: At the outer end or middle of the cantilever (usually an I-beam or box beam), it is pulled back obliquely upward by a steel wire rope (or high-strength chain) and fixed to an anchor point higher than the cantilever support point (such as a roof structure, a high column, or a solid wall/column upper part).
Mechanical principle: The cable/chain mainly bears tension. It partially converts the downward bending force (bending moment) generated by the cantilever under load into the tension of the cable/chain, and finally transmits it to the high anchor point. This significantly reduces the bending stress and deformation (deflection) at the root of the cantilever, and also greatly reduces the overturning moment that the cantilever support structure (column or wall bracket) needs to bear.
Main purpose: When carrying 125kg, use lighter and lower-cost cantilever beams and support structures, or install them on structures that cannot withstand the overturning moment of conventional cantilever cranes.
2. Relatively light structure (compared with conventional cantilever cranes of the same tonnage):
Since the inclined cable shares most of the bending moment, the cantilever beam itself can use a smaller and lighter profile (such as a smaller I-beam or a light box beam).
The size and strength requirements of the supporting column or wall bracket are also reduced accordingly, because the overturning moment is transmitted by the inclined cable.
3. Requirements for the supporting structure (focus on the high and low points):
Lower support point: Need to withstand vertical pressure, horizontal force (small) and residual overturning moment. It can be:
Light column (fixed to the ground).
Wall bracket (but the requirements are much lower than the same tonnage wall-mounted cantilever crane).
Even a sturdy equipment frame or steel structure platform.
