Strengthened design features for 16 tons load
1. Structural reinforcement and load-bearing capacity improvement:
Main beam/shell: Use thicker high-strength steel plates or special structural designs (such as box beams) to significantly improve bending and torsion resistance.
Drum and shaft: The drum diameter and wall thickness are increased, the main shaft diameter is thickened, and higher-strength alloy steel is used to ensure that it can withstand 16 tons of load and start-stop impact.
Hook group: Standard forged grade (such as M grade or higher) 16-ton hook, equipped with a large-capacity pulley group (usually 4 times or more), and equipped with a heavy-duty safety tongue (lock).

2. Upgrade of power and transmission system:
The motor power is significantly increased: Compared with the 10-ton 6-meter model (about 11-13kW), the 16-ton model usually requires a conical rotor motor (or dual-speed/variable frequency motor) of 18-22kW or more. Ensure full-load starting torque and operating efficiency, and optimize heat dissipation design.
Reducer reinforcement: Use a larger specification, hardened tooth surface, and high torque capacity reducer. The gear module is increased, the tooth surface hardening treatment is more stringent, and the bearing specifications are upgraded to ensure reliability and long life when transmitting huge torque (usually the design life is ≥10 years).
Wire rope specifications are improved:
Larger diameter: High-strength wire ropes in the range of Φ18mm - Φ24mm (such as 1770MPa or 1960MPa grade) are usually used.
Structural enhancement: Most of them are 8-strand compacted strands or independent wire rope core (IWRC) structures, which have better anti-extrusion, wear resistance and anti-rotation performance, ensuring safety under heavy loads.
Length: Meet the requirements of 6-meter lifting + safety circle.
3. Safety system redundancy is further strengthened:
Dual braking system (standard and enhanced):
Main brake: Large-size, high-performance disc brake (hydraulic or electromagnetic drive), the braking torque accurately matches the 16-ton load inertia.
Auxiliary brake: Built-in high-torque electromagnetic brake (normally closed) at the motor end, double insurance.
Overload protection (standard electronic type is strongly recommended):
High-precision electronic weighing sensor is integrated in the hook or fixed pulley block, real-time display of load (accuracy ±1%), and automatically cuts off the lifting action and alarms when overloaded. Mechanical overload limiter is not reliable enough at this tonnage.
Multiple limit protections:
Heavy duty upper and lower limit switches: Use more robust mechanical or non-contact (proximity switch/encoder) limit switches, which are impact-resistant and have high repeatability.
Anti-loose rope protection: Prevent excessive slack of the wire rope when there is no load, resulting in tangled ropes.
Wire rope anti-slip device: The drum and pulley are equipped with heavy-duty rope baffles or rope pressing devices to ensure that the wire rope never slips out of the groove.
